3 Ways to tackle your content planning

Getting ahead on your content can feel unachievable when you are juggling so many hats in your business. We’ve all been there and understand the stress and balancing act trying to keep content flowing on time.

Allowing yourself some grace in the process is a must! Whether you are posting content for yourself or multiple clients, having a solid plan is going to benefit you immensely.

Let’s take some stress off your plate so you can get to planning and organizing your calendar.

When running your own business social media can easily sit on the back burner. But, your social media is usually the first impression that a potential customer or client is going to have of you.

This is why planning is such an important step in growing your business.

Let’s go through a few steps that can help you get into a better flow:

1. Pick a designated day of the week for mapping out a plan.

Whether you pick Monday or Friday, having a content planning day is something you need to stick to and utilize. Set a timer and see how far you can get in 1-2 hours. Write down what you need to do for a whole week of content for your business (or for each client you have if you are managing socials for others).

2. Have a routine.

Posting each day of the week may not be feasible. Batch at least 3 graphics that you can post to your socials each week. Creating templates that you can follow will save you time down the road. For example: a realtor may post 1 tip, 1 ad, and 1 home for sale/sold each week.

3. Put it all together.

You picked a day and planned out everything that you need to post for the week. Now, let’s get it done! Create your 3 graphics using the templates you created that will fit perfectly with your business, create any videos you may need, write your blog post for the week, write out the emails, and any other content you have each week.

Now that that’s complete, you have all of next week’s content planned, batched, and ready to go!

Overtime this process will get easier and quicker allowing you to work more than one week out in advance. Just think of all the time saved and stress relieved.

Cohesive content, consisten content, and a happier you! Your audience will be impressed and it will validate your hard work and commitment to them.
